Happy to share a personal shoot I did outside Cape Town recently. The title is taken from a Sun Ra record which I felt fit nicely with the Afrofuturist look and feel of the series.

Back in November I was commissioned to shoot a series of action sports images for HMX Media to promote Sony’s new waterproof walkman, the Sony NW-WS410. We shot the campaign between Ibiza, Formentera and up on Glacier 3000 in the Diablerets, Western Switzerland. 

It was a fantastic shoot to be a part of, with many challenges, most notably all the different locations / climates and the fact that we would be shooting in water, sand and snow which provide their own set of difficulties when cameras are involved. Each featured athlete was an expert in their particular sport, which showed off the diversity of the product’s use in various challenging scenarios. 

Suffice to say, it was an awesome job to be a part of and a huge thanks goes out to the whole team for making it happen. Here are some of the resultant shots from the campaign:

Here’s some recent work I shot for Dancing Leopard’s AW15 lookbook. I shot this on a lovely Autumn evening in Dalt Vila as well as in a few restaurants and bars in old town Ibiza. 

Dancing Leopard is an Ibiza based fashion brand so we wanted the story to have an evening / night out feeling to it so I opted for a very natural approach, using mostly natural light and a grainy film-like feel to the images.

There’s something very magical about Ibiza once the crowds of tourists have left the Island and it’s back in relative slumber for it’s Winter residents to enjoy.
